Mike Leake earns win

Mike Leake (7-12) picked up his first win in a Mariners uniform, yielding two runs on eight hits over seven innings in Seattle's 3-2 win over Oakland Friday. He struck out seven and walked one.

Fantasy Implications: Leake allowed hits to the first three men he faced in his Seattle debut, singles by Marcus Semien and Matt Joyce, and a run-scoring double by Jed Lowrie. Oakland's second run scored later in the inning on a Matt Olson ground out to second base. From there, the 29-year-old right-hander and the Seattle bullpen were solid, keeping Oakland scoreless the rest of the way. Leake, who struggled since the All-Star break with the St. Louis, will look to build on Friday's quality start when he faces the Astros Wednesday at Safeco Field.
