Andrew Moore credited with loss

Andrew Moore (1-5) allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits over four innings, and was tagged with the loss in Seattle's 11-4 defeat to the Indians on Saturday.  He struck out three and walked none.

Fantasy Implications: Moore has done an admirable job filling in as a member of the Mariners' depleted rotation. In his three September starts coming into tonight's game, the 23-year-old right-hander recorded a fine 3.24 ERA and 0.84 WHIP over 16 2/3 innings.  However his 2017 campaign's 5.34 ERA and meager 4.7 K/9 illustrate the true limitations of Moore's fantasy value.  He is scheduled to make his last start of the season on Friday against the Angels in Anaheim.

Nelson Cruz hits walk-off home run

Nelson Cruz went 2-for-3 including a walk-off two-run blast to lead the Mariners to a 3-1 victory over the Indians on Friday night.

Fantasy Implications: Cruz is closing out the 2017 season on another power surge. His walk-off homer off of Cody Allen in the bottom of the ninth inning was his third opposite field long ball in as many games, and his 36th home run of the year. In addition, the veteran slugger continues to tack onto his American League RBI total, which now stands at 114. With eight games left to play, Cruz has the chance to hit reach the 40 homer mark for his fourth straight season.
