Ariel Miranda (7-5) took the loss Wednesday evening surrendering five runs (four earned), on seven hits, while striking out five batters and walking none in Seattle's 5-1 defeat against Texas.
The 28-year-old Cuban southpaw continues to get done in by the long ball, giving up solo homers to Delino DeShields and Joey Gallo, and a two-run shot to Elvis Andrus. He has a serviceable 1.15 WHIP and 7.3 K/9. However, with his severe case of gopheritis (1.9 HR/9), Miranda's ERA is not likely to dip below four despite his decent command. His next scheduled start is in Oakland on Tuesday.

Tim Anderson collects two hits on Wednseday
Tim Anderson went 2-5 with a triple and a single Wednesday afternoon in the White Sox 5-1 loss to the Blue Jays. He also struck out three times in his other three plate appearances.
The 23-year-old shortstop is floundering in his second Major League campaign. Besides his modest counting stats (nine home runs, 29RBIs, 38 runs and six steals), his meager .235/.256/.353 affirms his struggles. Chicago has invested six years in Anderson, so manager Rick Renteria is likely to give him a long leash. Fantasy owners do not have to do the same. Anderson is best left to AL-only and deep formats.
