Marco Gonzales removed from rotation

Marco Gonzales was removed from the Seattle rotation to make room for newly acquired Mike Leake on Friday.

Fantasy Implications: Gonzales was the odd-man out to be removed from the rotation, and should certainly have not caught anyone unawares. The 25-year-old southpaw was not able to last through five innings in any of his six starts, and compiled a woeful 8.25 ERA and 1.96 WHIP over 24 innings, while surrendering seven long balls. Manager Scott Servais indicated that Gonzales may return to the rotation. However, fantasy owners should not make the same mistake.
