Marco Gonzales makes brief appearance

Marco Gonzales surrendered five runs on eight hits and two walks over 3.1 innings in the Mariners 7-6 loss to Baltimore Monday night. He struck out two.

Fantasy Implications: After a perfect first inning, Gonzales continually was in trouble, allowing 10 base runners in the next 2.1 frames. Mercifully, he was pulled in the fourth inning and relieved by Christian Bergman. Gonzales has not been able to pitch beyond 4.2 innings in any of his five starts with Mariners. In that span he has posted an unsightly 7.40 ERA, 1.98 WHIP and 13/7 K/BB over 20.2 innings. Needless to say, the 25-year-old southpaw should not be listed in any fantasy lineups.
