Danny Valencia dons golden sombrero

Danny Valencia struck out in each of his four at-bats Tuesday in Seattle's 4-0 loss to the Orioles.

Fantasy Implications: Valencia, as well as the rest of the Mariners' offense, were simply overmatched by the dominant complete-game, one-hit shutout performance of Dylan Bundy, who fanned 12 men on the night. On the weak side of a platoon at first base with Yonder Alonso, Valencia has been seeing more playing time in the outfield because of a groin injury to Jarrod Dyson and Mitch Haniger's woes at the plate. For the year, the 32-year-old utility man has a .264 AVG, 14 HR, 62 RBI and 53 R, making him useful in AL-only and deep leagues.
