Edwin Diaz records win

Edwin Diaz (4-6) worked around a walk, pitching a scoreless ninth inning and earning the win in Seattle's 3-1 victory over the Indians on Friday night. He walked none and stuck out none.

Fantasy Implications: Diaz was summoned in the ninth inning to protect a 1-1 tie. After retiring the side on 10 pitches, he was credited with the win when Nelson Cruz hit a walk-off two run homer in the bottom of the frame. The 23-year-old fireballer has not allowed a run in nine of his last 10 appearances. Although his occasional control problems have been the main reason for his elevated 3.41 ERA, Diaz' 32 saves, 1.18 WHIP and 84 K's over 62 1/3 innings have provided fantasy owners much value throughout the 2017 campaign.
