Nikita Kucherov scores two goals on Monday

Nikita Kucherov netted two goals, including a power-play tally, in the Lightning's 3-2 road win against Detroit on Monday.

Fantasy Implications: Kucherov has now potted seven goals in six games, and trails only Alex Ovechkin who leads the NHL with nine. Both lead the league with 10 points and an average of 1.67 points per game. Kucherov is part of the Bolts' top line along with Steven Stamkos and Vladislav Namestnikov, making up one of the scariest lines in all of hockey. The 24-year-old right wing is an elite and dynamic player, and one of the most proficient scorers with the man advantage. Last year he led the NHL with 32 power-play points (17 goals, 15 assists). It would not be surprising to see Kucherov contend this season for the Maurice Richard Trophy, awarded to the leading goal scorer in the NHL. Needless to say, he should be active in fantasy lineups regardless of format.
