Andrew Albers will start Tuesday

Andrew Albers had his contract purchased from Triple-A Tacoma Tuesday, and was added to Seattle's 25-man roster. He will start Tuesday night's game against the Orioles.

Fantasy Implications: Albers, who was acquired in a trade with Atlanta for cash on August 11, will be the 16th pitcher to start a game for the Mariner's this season. The franchise record is 17 back in 1977. Albers did not pitch for the Raniers, but was 12-3 with a 2.61 ERA this year for Triple-A Gwinnett while under control of the Braves. The 31-year-old left-hander last pitched in the Majors in 2016 for Minnesota, compiling a 5.82 ERA and 1.94 WHIP over 17 innings, and has a career 4.41 ERA in 80 Major League innings. It would be wise for fantasy managers to take a pass on Albers; his fastball barely reaches the upper 80's, and it is likely he will not be around the Majors for long.
