Christian Bergman outrighted to Triple-A Tacoma on Friday

Christian Bergman was sent to Triple-A Tacoma on an outright assignment after he cleared waivers on Friday.  The move was made to make room on the Mariners' 40-man roster for utility man Shawn O'Malley who was activated today from the 60-day disabled list.

Fantasy implications: The 29-year-old Bergman had made eight starts earlier this year for Seattle. Although three were quality starts, the right-hander was also involved in a nine-run and ten-run blow up before being optioned to the Raniers on June 21st. Since then, Bergman has compiled an 8-3 record with a 5.35 ERA and 1.35 WHIP with the Triple-A team.
