The Mariners added David Phelps to their active Major League roster
Friday. To make room for Phelps, the Mariners optioned Max Povse to

The right-hander was acquired yesterday in a trade that sent four minor
league prospects to the Marlins. Phelps will be in uniform and
available to pitch in tonight's game against the Yankees.
