James Pazos (4-5) faced two men over one-third of an inning, allowing one earned run on no hits and one walk in Seattle's 3-1 defeat to the Astros Tuesday night. He was credited with the loss.
Fantasy Implications: Pazos was called to start the seventh inning and protect a 1-1 tie. After getting Carlos Beltran to fly out to left, Pazos then walked Brian McCann. Pazos was then relieved by Emilio Pagan, and McCann was pinch-run for by Derek Fisher. Fisher then came around to score on Cameron Maybin's two-run homer, thereby pinning the loss on Pazos. The 26-year-old southpaw has now allowed two earned runs in his last two games, but had allowed none in his previous eight appearances. For the year, he has a 3.62 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, 10.5 K/9 and a high 4.2 BB/9. With only seven holds and no saves, Pazos offers no fantasy value at this time.
