Ariel Miranda allowed no hits but gave up one run on six walks while striking out five over six innings in Seattle's 3-1 loss to the Astros Tuesday evening. He did not factor into the decision.
Fantasy Implications: Miranda was lifted despite allowing no hits, needing 112 pitches to get through his six innings of work. The 27-year old southpaw has had trouble with his control lately, walking 10 men over 15 innings in his last three starts. In his previous 15 starts, Miranda has also been subject to the long ball, delivering 25 taters over 83.0 innings (2.7 HR/9). With a 4.72 ERA, he provides little fantasy upside. Miranda's next scheduled start is Monday against the Rangers at Globe Life Park in Arlington.
