Mike Leake (10-12) pitched 6 2/3 innings on Sunday, yielding three runs on seven hits in Seattle's 4-2 loss against the Indians. He walked none and struck out five.
Fantasy Implications: Despite losing his second straight game, Leake has pitched well since being traded to Seattle from St. Louis on August 30. In the 29-year-old right-hander's five Seattle appearances, four have been quality starts while recording a 3-2 record, 2.53 ERA and 27/2 K/BB over 32 innings. He has not surrendered over three runs in any of his Mariner starts. Leake is scheduled to make his final start of the 2017 campaign on Saturday against the Angels in Anaheim.

Jean Segura out of lineup
Jean Segura is not in the lineup Sunday for Seattle's game against the Indians.
Fantasy Implications: Segura exited Saturday's game with a sprained finger, and is considered day-to-day. Depending on the severity of the injury, it is possible the 27-year-old shortstop will not be available for the Mariner's remaining seven games. Taylor Motter will take his place at shortstop and bat ninth. Ben Gamel will take Segura's spot at the top of the order and leadoff for Seattle.

Nelson Cruz homers again
Nelson Cruz went 2-for-5 including a solo home run and scoring two runs in Seattle's 11-4 loss to the Indians on Saturday.
Fantasy Implications: Cruz' home run in the eighth inning was his 37th bomb of the season, and the fourth time he has homered in as many games. In that span, the veteran designated hitter is slashing a remarkable .429/.556/1.286. Fantasy owners should look to Cruz to extend his latest power surge through the final seven games of the 2017 campaign.
