Zac Curtis was designated for assigment by Seattle on Monday.
Fantasy Implications: Curtis was designated for assignment to make room on the 40-man roster for Jacob Hannemann and Seth Franklin, who both were claimed off waivers from the Cubs. Curtis appeared in three games for the Mariners this season, allowing three unearned runs on three hits and giving up one homer over 4 2/3 innings. He walked one and struck out one, but also plunked two batters and uncorked two wild pitches. He was acquired on November 23, 2016 from the Diamondbacks along with Jean Segura and Mitch Haniger in exchange for Taijuan Walker and Ketel Marte. He offers no fantasy value, even if claimed on waivers by another big-league team.
