Erasmo Ramirez gave up two runs on two hits, while walking two and striking out five over six innings in the Mariners 6-2 loss to Houston on Sunday. He did not factor into the decision.
Fantasy Ramifications: Ramirez has been Seattle's most reliable starter lately, tempering the rash of injuries that have ravaged the team's rotation. The 27-year-old right-hander pitched well, with his only damage coming from a pair of solo shots from Yulieski Gurriel and Brian McCann in the fifth inning. The outing was Ramirez' fifth quality start in as many appearances, in which he has recorded an impressive 2.40 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 6.9 K/9. His next scheduled start is Sunday against the Angels at Safeco Field.
