Emilio Pagan (0-2) took the loss after allowing three runs (two earned) and two hits, including a solo homer in the eighth inning to Brandon Moss, as Seattle fell to the Royals 6-4 Thursday night in Kansas City. Pagan did not strike out or walk any of the 10 batters he faced in two complete innings of work.
Fantasy Implications: Pagan's body of work this season has earned manager Scott Servais' trust in placing him in some high leverage situations. The 26-year-old righty had given up just one run in his previous 21.1 innings of relief. For the year, Pagan has an impressive 2.77 ERA, 0.88 WHIP, 9.0 K/9, 2.1 BB/9, and 0.7 HR/9. Consider Thursday's performance a slight hiccup on Pagan's resume.
