Yonder Alonso had a fruitful day at the plate, going 3-5 with two doubles, three RBI's and two runs scored in Seattle's 6-5 win over the Braves Monday.
Fantasy Implications: Following a sluggish start after being traded to the Mariners from Oakland on August 6, Alonso's bat has been heating up. He currently enjoys a modest eight-game hitting streak, slashing .433/.485/.633 with one homer, 8 RBIs and six runs scored. The 30-year-old first baseman has benefited fantasy owners in four categories, logging an impactful .273 AVG, 23 HR, 57 RBI and 58 R for the year. Alonso is on the strong side of a platoon with Danny Valencia, but should be deployed in most fantasy settings.
