Mitch Haniger was activated from the disabled list on Saturday, and played the final two games of Seattle's series with the Rays in Tampa Bay. Haniger had been out of action recovering from a severe facial laceration he suffered after being hit by a Jacob deGrom wayward pitch.
Fantasy Implications: In the pair of games he played on Saturday and Sunday, Haniger went 2-6 with one home run, four RBIs and one run scored. This was Haniger's second stint on the disabled list, the first caused by an oblique injury that caused him to miss six weeks. Since then, the rookie had been scuffling, slashing a meager .203/.303/.316 in the 37 games he played leading up to his latest injury. For the year, Haniger sports a .257 batting average with eight homers, 28 RBIs, and 37 runs scored. He has stolen a trio of bases.
