David Phelps (4-5) was credited with the win after allowing no runs on one hit in two-thirds of an inning Wednesday in Seattle's 9-6 victory over the Braves in Atlanta. He walked none and struck out none.
Fantasy Implications: Phelps, who was reinstated earlier in the day from the disabled list, was called on to relieve Marc Rzepczynski in the seventh inning with one out, and the Mariners up 4-3 with runners on at first and third. Phelps was able to nail the final two outs of the inning, but was charged with a blown save when both runners eventually came around to score. But Seattle answered with four runs in the top of the eighth frame, thereby rewarding the 30-year-old reliever with the win. Phelps is now 2-1 with a stellar 2.35 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 11/1 K/BB over 7.2 innings since donning a Mariner uniform on July 20.
