Mitch Haniger went 2-for-4, driving in one run, scoring once, and stealing one base in Seattle's 3-2 win over Oakland on Friday night.
Fantasy Implications: Haniger had been struggling at the plate after being activated from the disabled list on August 19, slashing only .147/.194/.294 over nine games. After going 0-15 in the last four of those games, the 26-year-old right fielder was relegated to the bench to clear his head. It seems to have worked. In his last two games since then, Haniger is 5-for-8, hitting one long ball, two doubles, four RBIs and scoring three times. Perhaps this is the impetus that will catapult Haniger to a strong late-season finish.
